Woodenbong is one of the Rainforest Villages of northern NSW. Situated on the edge of Kyogle and Tenterfield Shires the town is surrounded by picturesque mountain country. Once a large timber centre Woodenbong is now a small village of some 500 people. Woodenbong can be reached from the east via Kyogle, the south via Bonalbo and the west via Tenterfield & Warwick and Beaudesert in the north. A major feature of the village is its picturesque Golf Course which has been operating since 1936. Situated less than two hours from the Gold Coast and Brisbane it is the ideal place for a day of golf away from the hustle and bustle.
